SceneFind identifies the movie or TV moment behind a clip you share with it. It has no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking. This policy describes exactly what leaves your device, why, and how long it is kept.
When you share a clip, import a video or image, paste text, or submit a URL, that content is sent over HTTPS to the SceneFind backend, which forwards it to the AI providers listed below so the scene can be identified. SceneFind only ever receives content you deliberately hand to it — through the share sheet, the media picker, or by typing it in. It does not scan your photo library, read your clipboard in the background, or monitor other apps.
If you enable transcription, spoken dialogue in the clip you shared is converted to text so it can be matched against subtitle indexes.
On first launch the app generates a random UUID and stores it in the device Keychain. It identifies the installation — not you — so that your plan allowance can be counted and so the backend can verify, using Apple's App Attest, that requests come from a genuine copy of SceneFind. It is not derived from any device or advertising identifier and is destroyed when you delete the app and its Keychain entry.
When you subscribe or restore a purchase, the signed transaction Apple issues is sent to the backend for verification and to determine your allowance. SceneFind receives the transaction, not your payment method: card numbers and billing details stay with Apple and are never visible to us.
The backend records operational data such as request counts, timings, and error categories to keep the service running and to enforce rate limits. Shared URLs, media, transcripts, App Attest assertions, and transaction payloads are excluded from logs.
SceneFind does not track you across apps or websites, does not sell or share personal information, and contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

These providers act as processors for SceneFind under their own terms and are not permitted to use your content to train their models on our behalf. Apple processes your purchases.

SceneFind is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date before the change takes effect.
